Welcome to Cabin on Blake, a beautiful lakefront retreat on Big Blake Lake in Western Wisconsin, just over an hour from the Twin Cities. Known for its excellent fishing, calm water, and four-season recreation, Big Blake Lake offers the perfect setting for a memorable getaway—whether you’re here to be active, unwind, or simply enjoy time together by the water.

From swimming, kayaking, boating, and fishing in the summer to ice fishing, snowmobiling, and nearby skiing in the winter, this area offers something special in every season. Cabin on Blake is designed to make enjoying it all easy, comfortable, and relaxing.

A Cozy “Up North” Feel with Modern Comfort

Cabin on Blake blends classic Northwoods charm with modern conveniences, creating a space that feels both warm and well cared for. Custom log accents, knotty pine walls, rustic furnishings, and thoughtful design details give the home its authentic “Up North” cabin feel, while high-speed Wi-Fi, smart TVs, and updated appliances ensure a comfortable stay.

Completed in 2014 and continually maintained with pride, the home offers the character of a cabin with the functionality guests appreciate.

Main Level Living

The main floor features oversized windows and sliding glass doors that flood the space with natural light and showcase beautiful lake views and abundant wildlife. The open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area is ideal for gathering, whether you’re cooking together, playing games, or relaxing after a day on the lake.

Kitchen

The kitchen is fully equipped to handle everything from simple meals to cooking for a full house. It includes modern appliances, a dishwasher, flat-top stove, microwave, and a generous selection of cookware and utensils. A large butcher block island and ample counter space make meal prep easy and enjoyable.

Dining Area

Surrounded by large sliding doors, the dining area allows you to enjoy lake views even while indoors. The log dining table comfortably seats 6–8 guests.

Living Room

The living room is anchored by a large sectional and recliner, along with a Roku TV and BluRay/DVD player. The open layout allows everyone to relax together while still enjoying views of the lake.

Main Floor Bathroom

A full bathroom with shower and bath, finished with knotty pine details, is conveniently located on the main level.

Primary Bedroom

The primary bedroom offers a king bed, custom log furniture, a Roku TV, and a sliding glass door that opens directly to a private section of the deck. Wake up to serene lake views and enjoy your morning coffee just steps from the water.

Bedroom Two

The second bedroom features custom log furniture and sleeping arrangements that include a full bed and two twin beds.

Walk-Out Lower Level

The walk-out lower level adds valuable living space and provides direct access to the lake and yard—no steep stairs required.

Family Room

This spacious area includes a large sectional, Roku TV, a second dining/game table, and expansive windows with lake views. It’s a great place for movie nights, games, or a second gathering space for your group.

Second Kitchen / Kitchenette

Located within the family room, the lower-level kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator and freezer, sink, cabinets, and generous counter space. It’s perfect for extra meal prep, snacks, beverages, or serving food outside by the lake.

Third Bedroom

The lower-level bedroom is large and versatile, featuring a queen bed, a full bed, and two twin beds. A twin trundle bed is also available upon request.

Lower-Level Bathroom

A spacious ¾ bathroom with a shower serves the lower level.

Laundry

A washer and dryer are available for guest use. The dryer is complimentary, and the washing machine is coin-operated.

Outdoor Living & Lake Access

One of Cabin on Blake’s most-loved features is its walk-out access to a flat, swim-friendly lakefront—making it easy to move between the house, yard, fire pit, docks, and water throughout the day.

• Two docks plus a floating swimming dock (seasonal)

Fishing on Big Blake Lake is exceptional, with some of the best spots located right off the dock. In winter, ice fishing can be enjoyed just steps from the home.

Year-Round Adventures

Big Blake Lake is the starting point for snowmobile trails that extend all the way toward Superior, WI, making winter stays especially popular. Nearby downhill and cross-country skiing add even more seasonal appeal.

The surrounding area also offers restaurants, bars, wineries, apple orchards, shopping, and family-friendly attractions—all within a short drive.

• Maximum occupancy is 8 guests, including children and infants.

• Up to 2 dogs are allowed (restrictions apply).

• These limits are set by Polk County zoning regulations and include daytime visitors.
